FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Likambi Global Publishing House proudly celebrates the recent feature published by Birkenhead News, Wirral’s respected independent local news platform, highlighting the remarkable and inspirational visit of internationally bestselling young authors, Latoya, Caleb, and Destiny Likambi, to St John Plessington Catholic College in Bebington.

The acclaimed young authors, widely recognised for their inspiring literary achievements and youth empowerment work, visited the school as part of its National Year of Reading celebrations, where they delivered powerful, uplifting, and transformational talks to more than 650 students across Years 7, 10, and 12.

Their message was both clear and uplifting: age is no barrier to achievement when young people are encouraged to believe in themselves, nurture their imagination, develop their talents, and pursue their creative gifts with confidence, courage, and determination.

The visit created a lasting impact throughout the school community, with students deeply inspired by the siblings’ journeys, achievements, discipline, creativity, and passion for empowering young people through storytelling, literacy, and leadership.

As the world’s youngest female author to publish multiple books, 10-year-old Destiny captivated an audience of nearly 300 Year 7 students as she spoke passionately about the power of imagination, the art of storytelling and the influence moral messaging has on her work.

Year 7 student, Sophia, shared her admiration after hearing Destiny speak, saying:

“I feel really proud of her. I think it’s so impressive and inspiring because of what she has achieved at her young age. At her age, all I wanted to do was play with LOL dolls!”

Caleb, who has written and illustrated a range of titles, including the eight-book ‘Life Lessons’ series, which explores themes such as forgiveness, overcoming adversity, integrity, and loyalty, reminded students that success comes through dedication, discipline, and self-belief. He also emphasised the importance of surrounding themselves with people who inspire them to achieve greatness, while, above all, striving to become the kind of person who inspires others to be great.

Reflecting on Caleb’s presentation, student Donele said:

“It was very inspiring to have someone like Caleb come to our school. It inspired me to write my own book, which I have already started.”

Nineteen-year-old Latoya, the eldest of the Likambi siblings, spoke to sixth form students about her journey as a 3X bestselling author and accomplished young entrepreneur. Inspiring students to think ambitiously about their future aspirations and life purpose, she encouraged the Year 12 students to pursue their passions with boldness, confidence, and determination, while highlighting the vital importance of resilience, perseverance, and self-belief when overcoming challenges.

Sixth form student, Summer, also spoke about the powerful effect of the visit, commenting:

“Latoya’s talk had a big impact on me as it shined a light on things we often don’t think about. It inspired me to get out there, and not be scared about achieving my goals or being who I am.”

The Likambi siblings are now proudly recognised as featured authors within St John Plessington’s school library, which includes a dedicated book display with their books, that has proven hugely popular among students and staff alike.

“Thank you to the staff at St John Plessington for arranging such a motivating experience, and to Latoya, Caleb and Destiny for being such positive role models.”
