World’s youngest female author to publish multi books, Destiny Likambi, prolific young writer Caleb Likambi, and award-winning teen entrepreneur Latoya Likambi leave lasting impact on over 650 students in at St John Plessington Catholic College, Wirral.
St John Plessington Catholic College in Bebington, Wirral, recently welcomed internationally acclaimed young authors Destiny, Caleb and Latoya Likambi for a transformational day of inspiration, empowerment and creativity as part of the school’s National Year of Reading celebrations.
The inspirational Likambi Siblings — a remarkable family of prolific writers and young bestselling authors — visited the school as part of their ongoing mission to empower, inspire, and ignite the creative genius and spirit within the next generation.
Latoya, Caleb and Destiny Likambi delivered a series of inspirational talks to more than 650 students across Years 7, 10 and 12. Through their powerful stories and journeys of resilience, creativity and achievement, they sowed fertile seeds of possibility and purpose in the heart of each young person — seeds ready to take root, flourish, and inspire a new generation of authors, leaders, and changemakers.
The siblings represented a true testament that age is no limit to what young people can accomplish in life, sharing their own journeys as living proof of this powerful truth. The visit also highlighted the incredible impact of positive role models for young people and peer mentorship.
The level of student engagement was exceptional, and the feedback overwhelmingly positive. The energy in the each session was electric — a testament to the hunger, brilliance, and potential within these young minds.
Fertile seeds of possibilities and purpose were sown in each young person’s heart, ready to take root and flourish. We now look forward with excitement and expectation to welcoming a prosperous new generation of young authors emerging from this phenomenal school — voices ready to shape the future with courage, creativity, and conviction.
Destiny Likambi Inspires Year 7 Students Through Storytelling and Self-Belief
Destiny Likambi, recognised as the world’s youngest author to publish multiple books, inspired nearly 300 Year 7 students, captivating them with her passion for storytelling, imagination, and self-belief. Her session encouraged students to embrace their creativity, harness their imagination, and understand that they are capable of writing their own books and achieving extraordinary success regardless of age. During her talk, she also reminded students of their uniqueness, their potential, and what they are capable of achieving if they put their mind to it and believe in themselves– just like them.
Caleb Likambi Encourages Creativity, Leadership and Resilience
Young prolific writer Caleb Likambi inspired approximately 269 Year 10 students through a powerful and thought-provoking message centred on resilience, creativity, leadership, perseverance, forgiveness, and his life-lessons series . His session resonated deeply with students, many of whom have since begun developing their own stories and characters following the visit.
One student has already begun writing his first book and shared the initial draft with Caleb for guidance and mentorship.
Dr Sylvia Forchap-Likambi, senior consultant, coach, founder of Likambi Global Publishing and mother of the young authors, said:
“One of the students has already begun writing his first book and has sent the initial draft to Caleb for review. Caleb responded with excellent feedback and guidance. He asked Caleb if he could continue sharing the chapters with him as he progresses, and Caleb is, of course, very pleased to support him.”
She continued:
“I strongly believe he is just one of the many authors and leaders from this beautiful school who were birthed following the encounter with the young authors.”
Catherine Starkey, School Librarian at St John Plessington Catholic College and organiser of the visit, reflected on the remarkable impact the engagement had on students:
“Donele, the student Caleb has been helping, has been so inspired. He gave me his story to read and I agree with Caleb — it is fantastic.”
She added:
“A number of other students have been similarly inspired and have started writing stories and designing characters!”
Latoya Likambi Empowers Sixth Form Students to Walk Boldly in Purpose
Multi-award-winning teen entrepreneur and 3X International bestselling author Latoya Likambi delivered an empowering and inspirational session to approximately 133 Year 12 students, encouraging them to boldly embrace authenticity, purpose, and self-expression as future leaders and changemakers.
Reflecting on the visit, Catherine Starkey said:
“It was an absolute pleasure to welcome you all to our school. It was clear that Destiny, Caleb and Latoya left a real impression on our students. I’ve had some still talking about it today!”
She added:
“It was a real privilege to host you, and we very much look forward to continuing this collaboration.”

The visit powerfully demonstrated the transformational impact of literacy, reading for pleasure, peer mentorship, and positive role models in helping young people discover their gifts, use/ amplify their voices, and pursue their dreams with confidence.
Together, the students and speakers created a moment that will continue to inspire stories, foster transformational leadership, and creativity for generations to come.
